Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy broadcast the 125th episode of Balearic Breakfast on her Mixcloud and Twitch TV socials on March 7th 2023.

A quote from the past came back to my mind as I listened to this Incredible Balearic Breakfast show (the longest one Colleen ever did as of today...). To a very young Johnny Hallyday (he was 11 back then and had just started singing on stage), the Great Maurice Chevalier said :

"Soigne ton entrée. Soigne surtout ta sortie. Au milieu, tu te démerdes, tu chantes."

We could translate this into English as follows:

"Take care about how you appear on stage. Also, take great care about how you leave the stage. In between, do your best, sing".

I wanted to share this quote with you all because I felt David Mancuso had the Same way of "portraying" what a Show should be. Of course, Colleen followed that path in a Gorgeous way. She always chooses the first and last song carefully whenever she does a set. Both pieces are destined to set a mood. In this case, opening the show with Eva's Cassidy "I can only be me" sent a clear message : listen how beautiful a female artist can sound, how talented and strong she can be... For those of you who know Eva Cassidy's life, these last words may strongly resonate in your souls... The closing song, Nancy Noise's "Kaila", also showcases how gorgeous and profound a Woman's Soul can be... So, the stage was all set up. In between, Colleen did what she knew best: play records, mix them and, of course, share stories about all these great female artists! And boy, she was on fire on that 124th edition of Balearic Breakfast ! We had a 4-hour Balearic Breakfast show, people!
