Listen to the 128th edition of Balearic Breakfast :

The Balearic Dream...

Like a flower blossoming under a reassuring sun, like a baby crying in his mother's loving arms, like a soldier writing a last letter to his loved one, the young girl slowly opened her eyes and, for a moment, didn't know where she was... Something had changed... Nothing seemed real, she felt a calmness surrounding her, and a crystal silence came to meet her. Was she alive? Was she even real? How could she know what just happened to her? Nothing would come up to her mind, just that feeling... a feeling of unity. She couldn't move; I don't think she even wanted to; she just felt she needed to let herself go, not knowing what would become of her...

Sometimes, life has a Master plan. Do we acknowledge this truth? Do we think about it? Do we question its power? Are we able to accept the gifts it carries for us? Do we even perceive the reality of the possibilities present in that sentence? I still try to figure things out as I write these lines. I still try to understand what life is all about... Still, there is that feeling, somewhere, deep inside of me. Still, there is that yearning, the need to find answers, the urge to find peace. It hasn't happened yet. It hasn't happened yet. Who knows where life's path will lead us? We have to believe, right? We have to...

After a two-week break, Colleen returned to us, refreshed and at peace, and her selections hit a string, somewhere deep within, from the start of the show. I didn't know what happened, I just felt like I was in a dream, somewhere, above the clouds. I kept seeing Pink Floyd's "A momentary lapse of Reason" album cover in front of my eyes as the show evolved. And every track had that dreamy vibe, that calmness, that never-ending structure. A steady revolution. Sometimes, you're Hit by events without knowing it... Sometimes I wonder... It's great to be back hosting Balearic Breakfast live and thanks to all who joined in the Mixcloud Live and Twitch TV chat- always wonderful to have you there with me. Today's show is now archived at https://www.mixcloud.com/.../colleen-cosmo-murphys.../ and features some tributes to late and greats who have recently passed to the next realm: Ryuichi Sakamoto, Ahmad Jamal, Jah Shaka and a tribute to the late Andrew Weatherall who would have been 60 this month. We miss him. And of course, some of your requests and a few other songs that have struck my fancy.

And then, I found the image. It all made perfect sense to me... I just burst into tears...
