Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy broadcast the 238th episode of Balearic Breakfast on her Mixcloud on September 23rd 2025.
ABOUT THIS EPISODE
After a technical incident that impacted both the sound streamed during the 5th Balearic Breakfast Anniversary special and the recording of the event, which took place on September 16th 2025, Colleen decided to take down the recording from mixcloud. On September, 19th 2025, she proudly announced on her socials that she would be re-recording the 5th Anniversary Special on September 23rd (more about last week's episode here).
What an adventure this 5th Anniversary has been! What an incredible Journey! Everyone in the Family was Wowed by Colleen's determination to get the party right without compromising anything and, icing on the cake, this second take took place during my Birthday!
Colleen was in very good spirits and in a joyous mood on the chat, saying "In a strange way it was easy as there wasn't any prep this week - all of my notes and songs were already pulled together. And it's fun todo this for 5 hours anyway😉" Her dedication to the show must be celebrated here once again, pulling a show like this one takes a crazy amount of work, she has to check the requests, find informations about the songs or the artists, think about the way she's going to mix the songs, add her own bits of information regarding her forthcoming events, present the show and recording, publish it on mixcloud and do the Instagram and Facebook posts... And this, week after week... As Ana said it, Brava Cosmo! Our friend dancing_james perfectly summed up Colleen's tour de force: "I think today will reveal how much preparation goes into the show, the research and the anecdotes to be able to recreate it". Well said James!
Of course, a few of our friends did talk about the London Loft that took place on Sunday, sharing how much the dancers lifted the spirits of the whole experience high! Dancing_James again shared "I love being part of the Loft Family, it's a joy to be a part of something which brings so much pleasure and positivity".
To sum it all up, I'll share two last thoughts by our friends. The first one is by Siobhan Murphy: "Always a pleasure to hang out with you and the Balearic Breakfast Family each and every tuesday. What a journey we have all been on. I have been listening back to 2020/2021 shows while I was travelling last week - they still sound so new - so fresh - so emotive - Peace for the musics"
The second one is by our dear Lioncub, and he said "We're peace people, we're music people, we're ego free, let's share the LOVE!"
