ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Colleen had a blast during the WOH festival, and so did the many dancers and friends who visited and stayed at the Love Dancing Tent! Of course, we all wished our dear Captain a happy Birthday on August 24th while she was taking a good and well-needed rest (thanks dear Kay for this great collage)!
With the new Balearic Breakfast compilation in the works, Colleen already received and listened to the test pressings 😉, the Balearic Breakfast Family joined Colleen today and took part in a sunny yet relaxed episode while keeping an eye (and a pen) close to the Request Line, which Colleen opened a few days ago as we're going to celebrate Balearic Breakfast's 6th Anniversary next Tuesday!
As always, Colleen announced the forthcoming dates as she's prepping up to play again in NYC very soon. As Kevin shared on the chat "I've been waiting for you to announce your NYC gigs. Of course I'll be there. After 35 years, I've decided to put some serious effort into my footwork. I'll be bringing baby powder for the dance floor"!

This morning’s Balearic Breakfast is now archived on my Mixcloud for listening back and thanks to the BB fam for joining me on the Mixcloud Live chat – I missed you last week! But I’m feeling better and today’s show features mainly new tunes on my radar – a mixed musical bag as always.
Today I also share some big announcements – tomorrow the tracklist to my forthcoming Balearic Breakfast 5 compilation will be revealed and there are a lot of goodies! I’m very proud of it and thank you to the artists and labels who agreed to include their tunes and most of all, a huge hug to the @heavenlyrecordings crew for being the dream team. Its been wonderful to work with Heavenly on this series and I appreciate their belief in me. Head over to their Bandcamp on Friday to pre-order.
The other big news is next week we are celebrating the 6th Anniversary of Balearic Breakfast on Tuesday, from 10am GMT to whenever on my Mixcloud Live. The request line is up (check previous post) and please read the whole post before requesting songs you discovered on Balearic Breakfast. This is such a fun show and I can’t wait to see which tunes you select.
