Balearic Breakfast | Episode 26-34 | The Eternal Number... (6th Anniversary Show)
Updated: Sep 13
Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy broadcast this new episode of Balearic Breakfast on her Mixcloud on September 8th, 2026.
ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Our Beloved show celebrates its 6th Anniversary. For the occasion, Colleen prepared a Marathon mix, including every possible request that has been submitted on her socials. On the chat, the excitement was palpable, everyone feeling the urge to share the immense joy of being a part of such an important event. Our friend Dancing James summarised the situation the best, saying: "It really is the collection of usual suspects and repeat offenders in the chat today. So good to see so many of the normal miscreants and work absconders on here!"
Of course, our Captain was on fire, delivering an "Epic Sounding Mix", despite a busy schedule, following the WOH festival and other gigs she had while preparing for this Anniversary. We all had a laugh when Colleen shared on Mixcloud "LOL! Already had a skip, flubbed up words, and the wrong speed. Hey - It's a 6 hour show 😉"
Being a part of such a musical experience teaches you gratitude, I really can tell you! Towards the end of the show, everyone was emotional, and I would like to share just one thought left by our pal Davstod: "Absolutely loving the show - amazing tunes, thank you Colleen for six years of incredible music and community"
I would like also to send my thoughts to a dear friend whom we've recently lost, Olivier Gourdon (Men Tensel). He recently passed away to the next realm from a heart attack. The Balearic Breakfast Family sends condolences to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten...
Six years... So many joys... So many memories... Everything keeps on changing, always, like on a never-ending turning tourniquet... Still, somewhere, in the distance, you can hear some laughter, some loud music playing from a distant ship, you can see fireworks and feel happy souls meeting the heavenly skies... Children there, children everywhere, laughing, crying, sharing, hugging, dancing... And nothing counts anymore... Nothing hurts... If I were to leave this earth, I would ask my friends to play me every show before the Lord takes me to my last heavenly home... No words will ever be able to describe what we are when we're all together... Never... Happy Birthday to our Beloved show...
The most important attribute of the 6 is its loving, caring nature. Aptly nicknamed the motherhood/fatherhood number, the 6 is all about sacrifice, healing, protecting, and teaching others. No family or community can function without the attention of the 6 – it is the glue that keeps a family and community together...
To Our Eternity...
Listen back to episode 26-34 of Balearic Breakfast:
Wow - 6 years of Balearic Breakfast, 5 compilations and a 6-hour music marathon to celebrate our anniversary. Today’s radio show is now archived on my Mixcloud and thank you to all 2000+ people who stopped by the Mixcloud Live and to the core family on the chat room for keeping me company all day.
We’ve been through a pandemic and a lot of challenging personal moments and our community has helped pull us through the hard times. It means so much to me and thank you for sharing your friendship and musical passion in our shared journey. Music heals.
And thank you to all who have pre-ordered the forthcoming Balearic Breakfast Volume 5 on Heavenly Recordings - and thank you to Jeff Barrett and the Heavenly fam for their belief in me and BB.
What a long strange trip its been and I’m very grateful. Enjoy the show!
