Balearic Breakfast | Episode 15 | Claremont beach

Updated: Apr 30, 2023

Worldwide FM broadcast the 15th episode of Balearic Breakfast on December 8th 2020.

You wake up. You eat. You take a shower. You go to your desk. You work. You take your lunch and your coffee. You work. You take a tea. You work while listening to some music. You close your computer. You take a nap. You eat your dinner. You wash your dishes. You watch a movie. You listen to some music. You sleep. You wake up. Repeat for 80 days (more or less, depending on the country you were living in December 2020). Feel the alienation building? A lot of us, including myself, were exhausted mentally and physically as, in some parts of the world, lockdown measures were still enforced and, unlike in Great Britain, where these measures were already lifted, we still had one more week to go not knowing back then that 2021 would be even worse for some of us, these 2 first lockdowns being just a warm-up...

Balearic Breakfast 8th december 2020

Somehow we had to carry on. So we all let ourselves go to Colleen’s musical selections and that show had a specific tone, the one of a lonely, cloudy and windy beach you can picture in songs like “it hasn’t happened yet” by William Shatner. Undoubtedly, on this Balearic Breakfast’s edition, Music was the only escape for a lot of us and it was even more so because of Colleen’s interview, in the second hour of the show, with John “Mudd” Murphy, founder of the Claremont 56 record label!

Enjoy this somewhat cloudy 15th edition of Balearic Breakfast :
