It is always nice to hear artists explain how they got into music and how they worked on their latest issues! In this episode, we discover two great bands whose songs have been previously played by our Captain on the show.
This week’s Balearic Breakfast morning radio show is now up in my Mixcloud (c’mon please give me a follow while you’re over there). As I heeded to kick back after an intense weekend of events, yesterday’s show features 2 interviews and guest mixes.
First up is Balearic Kent duo @puertomonttcityorchestra who have been long term BB family members and have released some musical gems on @higherloverec and @djchriscoco ‘s label @dspprdisappear .
Next up is Anatolian live trio @islandman_ who have released several recording on @musicfordreams and who released their most recent 5th album on their own imprint. I caught them live at Southbank Centre in 2022 and they invited a host of guest contemporary and classic Turkish musicians and it was phenomenal. I look forward to seeing them perform this Friday at @thejazzcafe 🎶❤️🎶
