Colleen broadcast this new episode from Brooklyn and, as she wrote it on her Instagram, she had to wake up at 5am to launch the stream and meet the Family on the chat! For some of us, dedication is not just another word, and it’s even more than a reality; it’s a way of living…

Speaking of “ways of living”, Sue’s mix is such a great embodiment of that. It starts with two slow and immersive tracks, allowing the listener to dive into his mind. You feel an openness, a generosity, something taking you Beyond. Of course, there are other songs, like "Brazilian Rhyme", originally recorded by Earth Wind and Fire in 1977, or Michael Henderson’s 1979 “Riding”, that bring direct joy; and, overall, this mix is really a no-brainer because of the musical freedom it presents both in the songs selected and in the way they’re put together. As I said, this mix perfectly embodies a “Way of Life”! 

In the second part of today’s episode, Colleen interviews Gez Dewar, who has also been interviewed on the blog (see here & here) as we ferociously love his remixes! Gez is one of those musical heroes you love talking to because he shares such deep insights into his work, and his relationship with music that you never can get enough! The mix he did for the show is absolutely out of this world... Patting myself on the back for waking up at 5am in Brooklyn to stream this morning’s Balearic Breakfast and thanks to all who kept me company on the chat group.
