Today's episode was as eclectic as it could be. Starting with a heartfelt tribute to our friend Olivier Gourdon (Men Tensel), Colleen then played sunny and engaging tracks, including the return of the crooked cat, which will be featured in the upcoming Balearic Breakfast vol. 5 compilation! (By the way, did you notice that Black Truffle's Meteor Shower sounds a lot like Barry White's Never ever gonna give you up?!
Of course, our busy Captain shared with us the upcoming parties and events she'll host, including this weekend's Loft Party and also the oh-so-very eagerly awaited release party of our beloved compilation! Slammin’ some deep house on a Tuesday morning on this morning’s Balearic Breakfast which is now up on my Mixcloud. Today’s show features some new dancefloor tunage like these two: a Will Saul remix of Bamboubou and a new musclecars coming out on Neroli which both sounded magnificent in the Globus Room at Tresor this past weekend.
I also premiered the new Auntie Flo remix of Mark Barrott’s ‘When Devils Became Gods’ and there’s new tracks from Soul Revivers, Birds of Pandemonium, Black Truffle, Habibisly, Marshall Watson, 40 Thieves, Coflo, Galaxians, boys shorts and more. After last week’s 6-hour marathon, today’s two hour show seemed short!
